Deeper shades of orange glass along with a touch of black make up the colors of this lovely autumn inspired fused glass dish. You can see and feel the veins of the leaf on one side while the bottom is very smooth with the tips of the leaves curling delicately.
Measures 8 1/2 inches long, 6 1/4 inches wide by approximately 1 1/2 inches tall. For my metric customers that's 21 cm long, 16 cm wide by 35 mm tall.
The process involved with creating this leaf bowl requires two sessions in a glass kiln. The first session to fuse the powdered glass together and form the leaf, the second time to remelt it and slump it into a bowl mold. A beautiful decorative piece that is also food safe, hand washing recommended.
